In the movie Aladdin there is a reference to the play Julius Caesar. In the scene, Aladdin wishes to be a prince as one of his three wishes. As Genie flips through his book of magical spells he says to himself "Caesar Salad" and an arm appears out of the book holding a dagger, ready to stab the Genie. As Genie shoves the arm back in the book he says “Et tu, Brute?” (Benjamin) and continues on. This reference to Shakespeare means "and you, Brutus?". It is from Julius Caesar Act III Scene I where Caesar is saying “Et tu, Brute?” as Brutus is dying.

Gnomeo and Juliet Shakespeare Movie Reference
The movie Gnomeo and Juliet and Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet have many similarities down to the nitty gritty details. In Romeo and Juliet the setting is Verona and in the movie it is Verona Drive. Also in Romeo and Juliet the two feuding families are the Montagues and the Capulets. In the movie the two different gardens belong to the Montague and Capulet. The blue garden to the Montagues and the red garden to the Capulets. Both in the play and in the movie, Juliet's father wants her to marry Paris, but when Juliet meets Romeo/ Gnomeo she falls in love and doesn't want to marry Paris. In both cases Romeo/ Gnomeo and Juliet both have someone to help them out. Juliet had Nurse, Romeo had Benvolio, and Gnomeo had Benny. Once Romeo and Juliet dies in the play, both families agree to stop fighting. In Gnomeo and Juliet it happened a little different. Gnomeo and Juliet are presumably dead and the families agree to stop fighting. Then Gnomeo and Juliet are found not to be dead, but the agreement remains.
